Had a great experience which has been rare with my use of A&E centres around the country and have to say that the Rotorua one was the best for me. I checked on Google to see how busy they'd be, then came in. Waited patiently but was seen within 30 mins of arrival by nurse no.1 then 30 mins later by nurse no.2 then another hour later by my first doctor, then 10 mins later by xray staff, another 10 mins later by ultrasound staff and one more time by the Dr. Went in at 9am, came out at 2pm but felt really good. Ka mau te wehi.

Worst hospital in all of New Zealand. It use to be a lovely hospital now it seems like it's so dark, cold and very uninviting. Ward 4 smells so terrible it needs new carpet in the entrance way, the service is so bad they make a plan then change it. They do not care for the patients as they would love to send their patients home to their families who are not qualified in mental health because the ward is full. Shocking. This hospital needs a whole new reshuffle so then nurses can find a new love for their careers and why they became nurses and doctors.

Absolutely appalling the hygiene levels here in rotorua hospital. My nana has had gastro and blood in her stools. The nurses have needed to collect a sample of her stools to discover not just one nurse but several have touched the thing she sits on and it has fresh blood in it without using any gloves or protectiin. The toilet floors have had fecal and urine stains. There is blood from someone else on the corridor floors. The room are old and musky

It was actually great treatment from the security guard, the receptionists and the nurses. However the doctor ruined it all for me, I’ve never in my life been treated so unprofessional and poorly from a doctor. 5 stars for the great treatment from the others but 0 for the doctor.

The staff was extremely kind and efficient. They really tried their best to make things less stressful for our 1 yo daughter. She was even given a free soft toy to comfort her. We saw a doctor only minutes after our arrival so waiting was nearly non-existent. And we did not even have to pay a cent as it was an accident that got us there. Thumbs up for Rotorua Hospital

Laying an official compliant over my treatment there. Is validated. All I will say for now.
