I really enjoyed going here it was fascinating and a lot of fun. Amazing views. My little sister had an accident on this trip we had finished the walk and we were on the boat, she tripped over and landed on her face she hit between her nose and her lip Sadly there was no ice pack or cold item on board for her to put on it Would be quite a useful thing to have in the near future Other than that great fun Totally would go back (With and ice pack in my back pack)

The best 3 hour trip you can do in Rotorua if you are pressed for time. The walk is easy and the ever changing view is magical. The path and facilities are well maintained and the cafe is perfect after your experience. I am telling everyone I know to go there.

Beautiful volcanic valley. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of options like guided tours, self guided walks, and boat trips. Highly recommend supporting the business after covid. It's really interesting to hear about how the valley was created from the eruption of Tarawera.

It was a nice walk with the beautiful scenric volcanic valley. Its worth watching one of the active volcanic site. It is recommended to wear good hiking shoes because the route is inclined and slippery if wet. Must bring water bottle with you while enjoying the walk.

Neat place. Its a one way walking track with a complementary bus that can pick you at the end or drop you to the end to walk back from (Don't need to take the bus if you don't want to). We stopped at every stop along the way to take photos etc and it took approx. 2hrs to reach the lake. They have umbrellas available to borrow on your walk if needed.

Seeing the steam rise from the various craters and lakes along the way is mesmerising, and was definitely the highlight of the walk for me. There is a bit of bird watching to enjoy towards the end of the walk, which was a nice bonus. The walk itself is downhill all the way, and pretty easy overall. Didn't end up trying the boat ride; was more than happy enough just doing the walk. Also really appreciated being able to take a bus back to the start once we were done with our walk!

This place in incredible! Spent a fantastic day here on Saturday, the walk is stunning and the geo thermal activity is just mind blowing, bubbling streams, bright blue crater lakes, steam coming out of the rocks as far as the eye can see. Top it all off with a fantastic boat ride and great commentary from the skipper. Loved every minute of it. We did it with a 3 year old and he handled the walk ok. Walk is stroller friendly but it’s downhill so strapping the kids on a front back isn’t so bad. Highly recommend! Especially with the reopening prices being affordable. Fantastic day out
