Fantastic place to board, lovely people to meet, and an absolutely brilliant owner, John is an absolute legend and was so sweet and nice to us and helped us settle in well. I fully recommend to stay at the Commercial as me and my mate had a lovely time. He even lowered our rent and dropped it even more once we had decided to depart, what more could you want?! Pros: -Fantastic owner, John is absolutely wonderful -Beautiful scenery and landscape, mostly sunny with beautiful weather. -Perfect spot in town; supermarket just across the street and a gas station just down the road. I love simplicity
John is the sweetest and purest man on the planet, he dropped our rent and then even added an additional discount on the price once we left, our final bill only came to 16 a night, absolute legend

It is jammed with backpackers in fruit season. Very crowded. The owner is good to help with job hunting.
Great accommodation option for seasonal workers
This is a backpackers/fruit farm workers hostel. The management are nice and well meaning and they can get you cherry picking or orchid work around the local area. The kitchen is always busy and lively at night with people chatting, drinking and cooking many different kinds of cuisines. So there’s many Asian food smells in there lol.
