My friend and I did the cream trip tour. It was about 7 hours long, with a island stopover for lunch for 135 Dollars. All in all it was a great trip and the weather was perfect (mid January). We saw lots of bird and also fortunately two different kinds of dolphins. The guides were very informative and entertaining and you learned a lot about sea life and the history of the bay of islands. The ship was not too full

Great trip to Cape Reinga and to the hole in the rock. Good value for money.
Nice wharf for the pedestrian ferries to pull up to. Keep in mind this is not for vehicle ferries, as these go from Okiato to Opua- the equivalent to the pedestrian Russell to Paihia. Heaps of eateries nearby and honestly just such a cute and quaint suburb. Would recommend if you’re going up north.
