3 hours walking in, track ok but rough in places with fallen trees requiring careful diversions. The beach is magic! Hut basic- much more fun to camp if the weather is good.

A great walk in and easily doable with kids. 4 hours walk after crossing at Pearl Harbour at Manapouri. Track is easily followed and Hut is a 12 bunk hut sited at the west end of the beach at Hope Arm. Location NZTopo50 map sheet: CE07 Grid/NZTM2000 coordinates: E1174169, N4937013
Unfortunately there is a big mouse issue at the moment, be aware, they jump everywhere and they eat your food in the backpack! There are a lot of sandflies and mosquitos in the hut as well and outside. There is water available. Beautiful view
Great location on Lake Te Anau. Easy track here, but for gets pretty muddy and is harder going past here

A Lovely 6 hour return Day Walk from the Town of Manapouri. the Hut is often used by fishermen and some hunters. It is also a great Kayak Base for exploring Hope Arm. Climbing Mt Titiroa and Mount Moturua
