Pretty basic though welcome shelter in very open conditions
like
Good and warm place when it is freezing outside and you are sweating.
Alpine shelter on the Milford Track. Overnight stays are not permitted here except in an emergency. You'll pass through here after climbing the Mackinnon Pass. Stunning views on a non-rainy day. There's a water tank and toilet here.
Thanks good for this shelter, you can hide before freezing winds and there is also has cooker and water source so you can make yourself cup of tea or other hot drink and believe me you are going to need those...
Sight for sore eyes after that climb. Refill your water with the rainwater tanks and have a go at the Loo with a View! Wish it had a Starbucks, but it's still a great shelter!
