I actually think this hut has been moved since I was there. It was situated on the true Left of the River but i believe it has been relocated to the True Right and a bit further back down the valley. A simple 2 bunk hut. Once you get the fire going it is a sweat shop - doesnt take much heating up which is valuable when it gets cold and miserable. Its a fair walk in to be honest and I think takes a fair bit longer than the time allowance indicates on the signs. Numerous complaints in the Hut Book indicated that others had the same issues with this hut and track.

Amazing small hut, 2 beds, The view is beautiful, you could reach mt titiroa from here, The only problem are The sandflies.
