The service by the young woman working on her own yesterday deserves a review of her own. Fantastic service under pressure, we sure hope your boss appreciates you, you coped marvelously with a smile that saved the day. A total credit to the place. And the coffee was bloody good too.

The pumpkin soup of day warmed me right up after a chilly Arthur’s Pass visit. It tasted fantastic! The Wild West pancakes were really delicious too. Warm and friendly staff, great playlist. Highly recommend this stop for a meal and coffee.
The women serving was lovely. But there were a bunch of dead flies by the window seat. The chef was out the back yelling and swearing and you could hear it from where we were sitting. The fish of the day wasn’t all that great kinda just tasted like frozen sea lord fish. My friends sausages were so salty to the point where she had to rub it off with a napkin. Probably won’t go again very underwhelmed
Lovely cafe to stop in at. Warm and friendly service. We only had a hot chocolate and muffin but both were delicious.
Very clean & tidy. Nice coffee but carrot cake was a bit dry. Tasted good though.
This cafe is a place you definitely have to visit and have a meal and drink. The food is absolutely delicious and so big. One of the nicest burgers I have ever had. The staff are very pleasant and friendly and the cafe is lovely and warm due to the fire going. Definitely will be calling back into the Highway Cafe and try out other meals. Lovely hot drinks too. A must to visit.
Nice, clean and bright. Highway breakfast and coffee were exactly what I wanted.
