Nice bush walks, if you're going to the waterfall take the access road down from Kirk's track and then walk back up through the bush tracks.
Great walk, walking poles recommended
Great walk. Little slippery in places. Lots of native birds and sounds.
Guaranteed to find some of the best views in Christchurch, if not NZ itself. Really close to the Sign of the Kiwi cafe and two lookout areas with historic significance that provide an amazing sight of both sides of the peninsula
Seeing wild deer this close to town was a treat shame theres no hunting. And the keraru are so inquisitive you'd think they were tame
Beautiful place to hike in spring. We did the 2 hour loop track to visit the Annes Falls. Parked our car at the 2nd car park ( when driving from christchurch) and started off through kirks track. In 10 minutes we diverted to Rhodes track which was a former road. After visiting the waterfall, we took the kirks track for our way back up. I prefer to do the loop this way, because rhodes track is very steep and difficult to climb back. Note: no toilets around
Not a bad walking track easy going down hardwork coming up all worth it in end
