Typical bar, the food was ok and the beer was cold but it is not an inviting atmosphere. A great place to meet your workmates for a beer on the way home

Cool place, likeable interiors with all the gaming stuff setup. Polite staff, a very little bit longer to serve than usual but c'mon, it's a small town. 10 Lunch Specials seem like they'd be small in quantity compared to the regular menu but they're plentiful for 1 person, even a hog like me! The chicken wraps are yum! The fish was fresh & good. . . fantastic chips, BTW, really great! Decent beef quesadillas, very filling again. The nachos aren't the best despite the beef & stuff being the same as in the quesadillas. Superb wedges, too, and you enough have enough dips everywhere to go around & still have a little left.
The manager was incredibly rude when ordering food. Would not recommend going here unless you’re absolutely desperate... you will be disappointed
We hadn’t planned to be in Tairoa but the road was closed due to flooding. We had a great night at the local. Friendly peeps. Really good food we both had the beef burger. Stop a night, play some pool with the locals and run your tunes on the jukebox. Classic Kiwi
