North Egmont Visitor Center mainly serves as an information center and sells souvenirs for hikers that climbs the magnificent Taranaki. The center has a cafe that serves refreshments and drinks for tourists. It has toilets and you may refill your water bottle from the water fountain at the center. The car park is relatively spacious but during summer season it gets filled up fast due to high volume of tourists coming to the site.
Beautiful views and lots of tracks for all levels. Did the 40 min loop and it was nice.

Parking was an issue that melted away to nothing with absolutely the nicest people talking to people waiting and handing out bottles kof water. Got up to the visitor centre where they had more fantastic, helpful staff. The area itself was well looked after. All round had a great time. Well reccomended

Very helpful and informed staff. Free to camp the night of your hike and toilets open all night.
