1st visit to Omori for a picnic lunch by Southern Lake Taupo. Peaceful scenic area, nice little place off the beaten track, enjoyed watching the boats leaving and returning to the small jetty.
Easy access great facility .

Great jetty for launching into the lake. Sheltered from all wind conditions except the south east from the delta. If white caps develop from the Delta then it’s best to get out of the water ASAP. Don’t forget the ramp license
We passed this every morning on our morning walk, great if you have a boat
Very nice ramp and well maintained. RDC could learn something from TDC in this area.
