I attended Lucas' Salt Fly seminar on 17 October and found it to be very informative. Lucas has a huge amount of knowledge and was able to communicate this to the attendees in an interesting and engaging manner. I can recommend this seminar to others interested.

Capt Lucas is a fantastic guide! Full of energy and enthusiasm for the amazing fishery he has on his door step and goes the extra mile for his clients. Highly recommend a trip out with Lucas and his well appointed and safe boat!

An unreal day on the boat. Lucas has his boat dialed and continued to find fish throughout the day. He had great pointers and made for an amazing day. I would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks again for the best fish of my life

I can recommend a day afloat with Lucas without any hesitation. Everything was first class - communication pre trip, an epic boat, and clear passion for an amazing fishery.

Had a great half-day with Lucas in January, fascinating to start to be able to spot the rays and learn about eagles (no kingfish) vs. sting rays (may have kingfish). The "harbour" is huge and beautiful and the boat (though unusual for an America Flats fisherman) is extremely well kitted out and worked perfectly for fly casting- surprisingly (for those of us used to being poled and needing quiet approaches), the kingfish do not care about the trolling motor. Can heartily recommend and would add that Lucas was very easy to deal with when booking a half day 3 months ahead from the other side of the world. Finally, Lucas is an enjoyable person to spend time with. Thanks Lucas - good luck.

Never been out with a guide before, and I quickly realized even if I fished the same spots at the same time, in the same boat using the same flies, I wouldn’t have caught a thing. Lucas was really fun to fish with, and knew the area extremely well. He did everything he could to bring me plenty of opportunities to catch fish and sure enough we were successful. Would highly recommend and will be keen to come back to beautiful Tauranga with Lucas to catch another king!
