Ocean International is being founded to facilitate marine conservation through online learning, educational field trips and expedition filmmaking. The headquarters for the organisation is Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty of New Zealand. Our website is currently being structured, encouraging interaction and innovative mechanisms of engagement with youth. We are planning to operate a vessel out to Mayor Island (Tuhua) to run NZ curriculum based field trips for school children, and subsidise this education through providing tours in the summer months with an emphasis on accessing the significant and high growth cruise ship market. We have one small scale expedition filmmaking vessel that is close to operational capacity, with mid to longer term plans for a large scale dedicated expedition filmmaking vessel that has an operational capacity for a larger team of filmmakers.
