Wendy was the perfect celebrant for our elopement on the beach. From the first skype meeting to the wedding day and every interaction in-between, Wendy made us feel comfortable and happy with our choice. The ceremony she wrote for us was beautiful and captured everything we wanted to say perfectly. We were also so grateful to her wonderful husband who came along to be a witness for us! Your wedding is one of the most important days to you as a couple. You invest so much time and money into what is hopefully going to be the happiest day of your life. You will invite the closest of your friends and family to celebrate what could be the most elaborate event you will ever coordinate. It is made all the better when you have good vendors backing you up. Wendy Barton was an absolute pleasure to work with. She gave us an abundance of information on what to expect out of our big day including some very helpful booklets. She was open to all the ideas we had and was experienced enough to know exactly how to execute them. Wendy was also very forward with her own experience without taking away from what we had to say. We found this very helpful as it alerted us to where we might trip up, and stopped us from getting too wild with our ideas or backing ourselves into a corner with something we couldn’t achieve. Wendy presented herself beautifully. She was polite throughout all our interactions with her, and she put a huge amount of effort into making sure we had everything we needed to execute our dream ceremony. In conversations with some of the guests after the wedding, I heard things like “Your celebrant did an amazing job at keeping everybody engaged without being too overwhelming.”, and “…she made the ceremony flow very well…”. With all the stress and coordination required to pull off a wedding like ours, a lot of the stress was relieved by the confidence of having as excellent a celebrant as Wendy Barton. We had the pleasure to have Wendy as our celebrant last week. It was a short notice upon asking her but she graciously accepted it even so. She was warm and accommodating during our meet-up. There are many wedding celebrants in Tauranga but my husband and I were glad we went with her as she made our simple and intimate wedding a special one.
Wendy helped us create the wedding of our dreams. Her communication and help was incredible, we often found ourselves talking about how easy she was to deal with. We are in awe of how she was able to make our day our own and was invested in us and our story from the moment we first meet. Wendy was a recommendation from a family friend and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in the future. Thank you again for you fabulous work!

The big wedding celebration my partner and I had planned had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. We decided to go ahead with a small ceremony at home four months later, and asked Wendy to be our celebrant. She was really understanding of our situation, and supported us through the process. She was easy to communicate with and really made an effort to get to know us as a couple, which was reflected in the beautiful and personalised ceremony that she wrote for us. Even though our wedding didn't go according to plan, Wendy helped make it the most perfect day for us!
