This place is truly awful. I booked two cabins here last year. My parents were visiting from overseas, so it was a special occasion. Everything about the Mount Tutu eco sanctuary sounded great, birds glow worms, woods and wildlife. I love all of those things. When we arrived, I noticed a strong smell of mildew in the main house. No big deal, I thought. We’re staying in the cabins. Those should be fine. I was wrong. The first cabin had an intense moldy smell that wafted from the front door. Inside, I found three different air fresheners. That’s a lot of air fresheners for a small space. Presumably they were in there to cover the mold smell? My family and I decided to leave within fifteen minutes of arriving. I had paid a deposit for both cabins for three nights, 450 total. The owners refused to refund any of it. Like I said, this happened a year ago and I’m still bummed out about it. Avoid this place like the bloody plague my friends.
