A must see on your trip to the west coast! There is a fantastic loop walk that goes across the river and through different sites of the mine. It has been very well preserved and laid out, making for a very informative and interesting walk! The sign says it is 40mins but it could be quicker if you didn't linger. Very easy walk with only a couple of slight slopes. It gives you a great feel for how it may have been to be a coal miner. I highly recommend taking the time to do this!

A little gem of history - informative information boards along a well laid pathway explaining each setting in detail. Very sobering reading and looking at the mining tradegy.

Well worth the stop, even if you haven't a family connection.

Enjoyed our walk around the Brunner site. The steps taken to preserve the history were much appreciated. ... P.S. we found an awesome waterfall

Very interesting place. It's like a memorial to those who died in the disaster. Worth reading the stories about those who died. I like a place that has not rebuilt or modified the old buildings in anyway. Putting a roof over the old coakin ovens is great. Preservation at its best
