The place to visit for the great walks tickets. Sadly we were cancelled off the Milford Track for the second year running. Weather can be unpredictable and it was a shocker Tues wed. Despite being in the area for a week no alternative dates were offered. Reports of Empty beds and last minute walk ins are sad to hear when you have spent time effort and money coming prepared to walk in challenging conditions.

Staff was friendly but would not allow us to post a note to "recruit" a few others to share a boat taxi to the Milford track trailhead. As 2, we needed 4 persons minimum to hire the private boat taxi outside of the season. I thought this seemed reasonable and would encourage park visits, but I suppose there may be a policy against it. We did find others through our own means and had a fantastic 4 days on the Milford track in June.
