This was the best meal I have had in a long time. We were a party of 6 and every main we ordered was delicious. The very best dish was the special of the day Hare and it was outstanding. We also enjoyed the venison, lamb and fish. The mixed platter was also very enjoyable. We will definitely be visiting again.

Amazing place full of atmosphere and wonderful food. The staff were helpful and attentive, and great to see this place takes the Covid restrictions seriously. We were told there's also live session music sometimes too. Unmissable in Te Anau.

We shared a carrot, pumpkin and ginger soup to start, which was delicious and came with some of the tasty rye bread I've eaten. For mains we had the sou vide lamb and crayfish special, both were excellent and sufficient motivation for me to leave a review. The service was also very good and attentive even though the restaurant was close to full.
