A wonderful experience and the highlight of our 2.5 week trip to NZ. Aside from the impeccable accommodations (beautiful home with lovely private room and great amenities), Nathan and Debbie are wonderful hosts -- truly kind, fun people that welcomed us and made us feel at home. Nathan also offers a few experiences (hunting, fishing, Fiordland dinner, farm visits, and more) that provide an authentic, local perspective for travelers looking to explore the Kiwi lifestyle. We can't recommend Salt Earth highly enough and would love to return for another stay some day.

Absolutely perfect, luxury/bespoke experience for even the most discerning of travellers. We are not normally fans of B&B's but this was a fantastic home for a trip to Milford. Nathan and Debbie are incredible, let you alone to enjoy the beautiful view, and there to provide fantastic meals and a slice of New Zealand life.

Fantastic experience with Nathan, who shared his designer-quality home with us for 2 nights. My wife and I loved the attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship, particularly the fireplace with 270 degree views of Lake Te Anau and surrounding mountain ranges. We visited a farm nearby, deer and newborn lambs. Nathan can also offer fishing and hunting trips into the Fjordland wilds--remarkable landscape, can't recommend it strongly enough.

Just back from a 3 night stay with Nathan and Debbie and I can tell you we did not have enough time! Nathan is truly a man of the land and we loved being flown into one of the most remote beaches on the island by helicopter and spending the most beautiful day diving for crayfish and kina. Not to mention an unforgettable feast devouring our catch of the day after a mandatory soak in their cedar wood hot tub with amazing views of snow-capped mountains. Debbie and Nathan's hospitality is truly one of a kind and we will look no further for our next trip to NZ. Salt Earth is the only way to go if you want to experience the real New Zealand with a little added luxury thrown in for good measure.

“Amazing experience” Nathan and Debbie are great hosts, and the beautiful house that Nathan built with glass all around let’s you enjoy the view of the meadow and lake, from the moment we arrived they went out of their way to please us and make our stay an unforgettable vacation. Starting with the great salmon and tasty cheeses plater upon our arrival paired with great wine, as well as the great breakfasts in the morning with fresh vegetables and eggs from their own garden and chickens along with their warm hospitality brightens your stay. They arranged a trip for us, picked us up with their boat after a hike and in a short time became our friends. My wife and I highly recommend this B & B place for an amazing experience and not just a place to stay. Nathan and Debbie know the area and will make sure that you enjoy visiting the Fiordland area
