The host is excellent and he understands the narratives of each film intimately giving excellent "whats it about" synopses. Greatly underappreciated theater! Come on Hamiltonians, make a trip out of it! Visit the Regent.

My favourite theatre in NZ! Brings back the glamour of going to the movies with the nostalgic decor. Big bonus, the snacks are cheap!
Oh my Goodness this was such a Wonderful step back in time - was Charmed - Thank You - The Regent. From when you walk through the Front door you note that it is 'compact' but Everything is there - the ticket booth and the sweets are tucked in together and it is only a few steps to the theatre. When I walked in I noted - it's beautiful Olde World decor which was Fresh and clean - not old and down at heel. Before the Film there were tbe usual instructions/warnings about cell phones - they added some more about 'respectful cinema etiquette' There was a Pre film 'short' (Woody the Woodpecker) then we settled into tbe film - about halfway we had an Intermission - Wow - I haven't had that for I don't know how long! - I was half expecting someone to come with a tray of goodies to sell but the kiosk was only a few steps away anyway. We then finished the film. For me it was a Lovely and Enjoyable trip down Memory Lane But for my 5yr old - it was a bit Long and there was a lot of - "where's the Film gone?" Time. Alll ok once we restarted - just made it a bit long winded for little kids -
Nice and loads of room.. We had the entire theatre to ourselves Awesome
First time visiting the theatre. Totally loved the place.
Always love coming here, shot for bringing back intermission
Great comfy seats. Nice staff. Not great coffee but great hot chocolate.
