Hi everyone, little feedback after working a month in the kiwis: When we arrived in New Zealand, we knew that there were several options for work available to us. We made the decision to work in the kiwis without really knowing what to expect. On our arrival at Te Puke and more precisely at the "Martin House", there were several Vans and cars parked as well as several Backpackers sitting at a long table, chatting and drinking a beer undoubtedly well deserved after a day of work. Soon the foreigners around this table first became members of neighboring countries (60% of French, 30% of Germans and 10% of more distant countries like Argentineans) then of work colleagues and finally for some friends. You will also meet Michel, Sam and Margaux who, to make short the link between you and the farms so the job. These are three French people who need you as you need them to find a job quickly. If you have problems (administrative, on your cars to go to work or during work) they are there to help you. In short, what I learned from this experience is meetings, parties and discover another approach to the world of work. Because the first common point between all Backpackers at Pick a Job is to get money. Honestly the work is not complicated at all, certainly sometimes physical but very affordable. Set a target for the amount of money you want, and if you are asking for work, you will get it. The downside is the weather because working in the outdoor fruit is also dependent on the rain but the weather is changing on an island;) Cheers, Romain and Irina.

Would say most of these reviews are fake, but wait for my post to be deleted or told they're obviously not fake. One manager was nice, but we got told we would get a room for 2 people and got a shared room with bunk beds, was told we'd start that week and didn't start until the Friday, and then were treated like slaves all day to not even earn minimum wage. Honestly don't bother, you won't get a proper wage and you'll wish you were anywhere else. We left after a day.
