We stayed for about a week at Copper Gate in Nelson. The house was remarkable clean, thoughtfully decorated with a well appointed kitchen. Surrounded by trees, the house gives a lot of privacy. We enjoyed riding the bikes that were available for our disposal at the property. Roger and Adele are such wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We can only recommend this place and hope to come back soon.
A very special place. Everywhere you look, there's something new to find. We really enjoyed our stay and a bath under the moonlight was a nice treat. Highly recommend.

Stayed here over Christmas. Lovely accommodation, nice layout and clean. We all very much enjoyed our stay.
Apart from the toilet being in the same room as the shower and the wifi being dodgy, the place was great!
What a fantastic time we had at Copper Gate! Thanks Roger and Adele, it's a beautiful spot. Very comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Easy to get to Mapua Wharf and ideally located for exploring the region. And from one of my children: “Thank you so much for letting us stay here! It’s awesome! I especially loved feeding the sheep and chickens! And the trampoline was awesome even my older brother Henry liked it! Thank you so much! From Alice.”
Stayed in 15-17 May 2018 Family of 4 with small kids Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. The view was lovely, the fireplace piping hot. The kids loved feeding the sheep apples from the trees. Let's also not forget the amazing tasting honey! All of this is topped off by your superb hospitality. Roger went above and beyond the requirements of a host to help organise our daughter an amazing birthday cake, it was a hit! We hope to be back one day. Totsiens! Cheers! The Fry Family
