This is a fantastic spot to stop and get some lovely photographs of the mountain and lake. Plenty of parking at hand, but can get a little bit windy at times. Nothing available to set up a lunch or picnic although several stops further on and further back have these facilities if you need.

Absolutely beautiful. Best time of the day is early afternoon, sun at its best for pictures. Don't always rely on the advertised lookout spots. There are some great spots if you are prepared to drive a little off the road
Such a beautiful lake! There are so many great spots to stop off along the highway to get views of this amazing lake.

One of the best places to visit and great for start your explore of the mother Nature. Summit was windy and cool but worth to walk to see the amazing lookout..!
Amazing views of the lake, just amazing!
We got accustomed to being impressed with New Zealand's beauty and Lake Wanaka is indeed beautiful. The mountains when snow capped set off the view of this lake. Highway 6 runs along the lake and we stopped at each opportunity for some photographs.
