The food was disgusting. The steak was chewy & the buffet food was disgusting as well. The butter chicken had a skin over it as it had been sitting so long. The food was not fresh, it was like they just reheated it & used it over & over. Would definitely not eat here again. When we complained to the lady that said she was management well she just brushed us off. Very poor service on her part. Such a shame as it's a nice place.

Lots of parking great front of house staff lovely atmosphere seating was great buffet was wonderful big variety hot food lots of it cheese board as well sirloin steak prepared as we each ordered med rare well done etc squid was great all food was lovely desert was a big variety and delicious even a chocolate fountain prices very reasonable birthday customer ate for free can definitely recommend will return Thanks very much Sharon and family

Must be new ownership. Meals here used to be delicious. Was dark, slow service, and the roast of the day was inedible (meat was tough: everything tasted microwaved) .. Had to knock on the kitchen door to pay, and when asked how my meal was, I said 'terrible' blah blah.. He still took my money and said he'd tell the chef. Won't be going here again EVER!.. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Amazing flavours, a friendly buffet with nice atmosphere where the dishes are executed with care and richness. Meat was tender, juicy and falling apart in the indian dishes. Hands down the best butter chicken I’ve ever had (if you like mild)!!

Just been and have an amazing Buffet at the Ascot. Great value for money. Service was amazing. Oh and the pudding. Go check it out they even have a chocolate fountain

Very disappointed. We had been to this Restaurant a number if times previously. Looked like New Ownership. Stopped in for breakfast on our way back to Christchurch. Only one staff member working out front. No alternate to milk products for coffees. Some food options on the menu not available. Meals took over an hour to come, then two meals missing (one was for two children). Meals that came out were very sparse, two slices of bacon, one egg, one sausage and cold spaghetti was the Big Breakfat. Did not charge us for the meals we got, after I complained about the lack of service, the standard of the meals and the time we had to wait. My Grandsons never got their pancakes. Won't be returning to what use to be a great place to eat.
