Such a lovely place to take a break from a busy schedule. A wonderful get away to smell the roses and watch the bees and , not forgetting feeding the ducks! Great

Timaru Botanical Gardens is paradise on earth. An amazing journey thru the park with such beauty and variety of trees, Rhododendron is genus, and ponds to sit by. A place to visit over and over again and is never tiresome. Truly a spectacular place not to be missed.

it's a lovely garden/park to visit in Timaru. Kids can enjoy playing there. Lovely walking tracks, duck pond, and beautiful rose garden. It's a very quiet and lovely refreshing park to visit. Easy vehicle parking.

If you are stopping over or passing through Timaru, a visit to the Botanical gardens is a must do. You will find a tranquil tree studded oasis that is a credit the forefarthers of Timaru.

Beautiful place to go during any season. So much to look at and learn.

Very pretty gardens that we could not fully explore of which resulted in all of us being quite upset that the local council had closed " for maintenance " ( they were perfectly clean and looked like they were in running order) both the public BBQ at the gardens and also the only other ones that are placed at Caroline Bay Park. We traveled in our cars for 2-3 hours with food that was prepared for a special lunch with family and friends. We all had to leave early so we could return to our homes to cook the food before it was spoiled. Our "special day out" was pretty much totally ruined. Thanks for that Timaru council!

It's cool how you can drive around the entire garden if you're into that. Nice big spaces, however, the plants weren't kept the best and there wasn't that much variety.
