I hadn’t even met the team at snowscene before I felt they were totally awesome. A great website, full of useful information, to be honest, my first contact with Jordan was to let him know we would have to cancel as we couldn’t even get up the hill! Thanks level 2. . . After a short email conversation, as if by snow magic, we even had that sorted! Such a pleasure doing business with a company like this. Thanks Jordan and team. We usually hire our skiing and snowboarding gear from the mountain at whakapapa but this time we decided to hire the gear from near our bnb. The team at Snowscene are super friendly, patient and helped us find best suitable gear and at a reasonable price!! All in all, really good experience, would definitely rent our gear from here for our next ski trip! Highly recommended!
A charming shop with super helpful staff, easily accessible from Turangi. Hire includes goggles and clothing if desired. Late hours are convenient. Plus they were kind enough to offer a refund on early return. I'll be coming back next time I'm heading to Whakapapa.

Excellent personal service, and reasonably priced gear to rent or buy. This is the best place to purchase or rent your gear before you head up the mountain. Get fitted and then phone ahead to be able to collect the gear quickly on the way. Perfect!
