Perfect panoramic view of Lake Taupo. Great picnic spot too.

Great view of southern end of Lake Taupo and the Tongariro power station tail race. Nature and secondary growth has repaired the historic (1966?) construction zone. Nice place for a quiet sit and 'chill out' with a view - any time of the year. Ossasionally a busload of 'tourists' will encroach upon 'my space' for a few minutes - but typically admire the awesome views/scenery/nature - take a few photos and move on.
