Wonderful place to relax and warm up your body after 8 hrs do Tongariro alpine crossing.. Me and husband book the private pool, and it was amazing. The pool is a bit old but doesn't mean that the quality is not good. For the private pool, we spend 20 minutes and that's enough to make your shore body gone.. :-) and feels fresh again. Also there is a track around the pool area which is will amaze your eyes.. Definitely recommend!!

I got a private pool just for myself on a cold, stormy, rainy day. Obviously, I loved every minute of it! :D however staff were pretty 'blah' and could do with being even a slightly bit friendlier!
Only the private pools were open mid March, as they were carrying out maintenance on the public pool. It was nice that our group of 20 could be together one of the large private pool. Very reasonably priced too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nice to have a good soak in the thermal water.
Great place to visit. A short walk with the highlight being an active thermal pool with water bubbling up to half a metre high. Plus the private spa pools are soothing and relaxing. A great experience for the family.

I have walk around the pools area, free access to public and amazing walk around. Well maintained area proper signage and very well maintained and attractive view of natural phenomenon. Chilly out but these waters clearly says God is amazing that has given us so much of his work. Highly recommended to go around.
Nice affordable place for a soak and free short walk to see natural geothermal pools. Stopped on our way home from completing the Tongariro Crossing and enjoyed ALL the healing powers of the thermal pool! Private pool is well worth the price, 12pp for 20 minutes, and includes entry to the public pool for as long as you want after. Changing rooms and cold shower next to public pool, no private showers. Reception looked like they sell a few snacks and had a coffee machine. Plenty of parking on site.
Can not go through Turangi/Tokannu without out calling in. Beautiful people pools are special and the little walking track is magical also.
