I reported my experience of workplace bullying while at PlaceMakers Timaru/Twizel in the form of a Formal complaint and was fobbed off. In my complaint I referenced the provided WorkSafe guide to identifying Bullying and harassment in the workplace but was instead referred to an internal Fletcher Building guide for identifying bullying and told by the HR representative "we don't see it that way". This is how I was silenced, made to feel shame through the entire process and essentially forced into backing down and 'attempting to work through it' which resulted in my forced resignation and false accusations of assault by the same person who I complained about in the beginning. Still no consequences for them, still working there and still bullying!
