Great place to stay. Out of the way a bit but that's what makes it great. Plenty of trees, river near by and bush walks. Peaceful.well worth the drive down about 6 km of unsealed road to get there.

We spent New Years Eve here with our family and camped in a tent. We enjoyed the country hospitality with a pot luck dinner, bonfire and live music for their annual event. Such a great place for families to stay with a neat little river to swim in, bush walks and wild horses. A shame we didn't have the time to explore more, there is so much more to do there and in surrounding areas so we suggest to book at least 2 nights. We will be back again soon for a longer visit and make the most of the serene area. This is Real New Zealand!
Wonderful peaceful place. Great facilities with choice of cabins, tenting, caravan or motor home sites. Family owned and very welcoming and friendly. Kitchen and barbecue facilities and equipment to suit. Great walks with great history. Great area for families. Side road off the Forgotten Highway on way to Whangamomona from National Park
Very friendly hosts. Relaxing place to stay. Five kms metal dusty road to get there from main road.
A lovely spot in a very peaceful location. Basic amenities. A nice area to walk and a river to swim in. The hosts were very friendly too.
Wow, what am amazing experience it was to camp out here. Our first camp experience as a family of 5 (with one toddler) and we felt so relaxed and accommodated. With no internet or phone coverage meant we could unwind from the usual hustle and bustles of everyday life and make memories to last a lifetime. Hosts were fantastic, very laid back and friendly. Facilities whilst basic had absolutely everything that we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer, so no sooner had we departed that we began to plan our next trip back :)
Although the camp was closed over winter Jo very kindly let us stay. Made to feel most welcome. Great showers and toilet together with a good kitchen block. Will make this a must stop place for the summer months..
Lovely spot set amongst beautiful scenery, river with some lovely swimming holes, nature, birds, good facilities (clean) and wonderful cabin with top quality bed and sheets etc. I'd highly recommend it and will be staying agin. Oh and nice people that own and work there.
