Awesome ride, safe horses for kids, even sent a 3yr old out with the other kids. The Guides also made provisions for experienced riders to have a bit of fun and chose horses accordingly. The 'Swim with the horses'ride was amazing.
John and Sammii are great people. The horses are placid and obedient and the landscape is inspiring. I highly recommend.
My partner and I had such a wonderful experience on the Korohe Horse Trek. We cannot recommend this enough. We will definitely do this again next time we're near Taupō. Thank you John and Sammii!

We had the most amazing experience with Korohe Horse Treks. It's like nothing we've ever experienced before. Literally one of the best 2.5 hours of my life. The hosts were really lovely and made us feel at ease the whole way through. We started off with a horse trek through the bush land and under the trees which was beautiful and then the horses went into the river! Like, FULLY submerged swimming. What an incredible time we had - we will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone!
Amazing. Knowledgeable, skilled folks run this place and can tell you family stories of the land. So glad that their hapu's land settlement has allowed for them to steward this with such an amazing offer for the public. If you want a really pleasant hour or more in beautiful country, I rate this highly.
The Korohe team did a great job with our multi-aged group. Everyone from the six-year olds to the 44 year-olds felt safe and had a great time.
