Loved it. Interesting to know.more about NZ geology. Had rocks to hold, earthquake simulator, a big map. The info on the posters doesn't hold back on ther terminology, which was super refreshing since often they dull it down for kids.

Tiny information centre with lot of information about volcanos and earthquakes. It is old style museum with a lot of posters rather than interactive activities. It has a potential to be a nice local point of interest, unfortunately, It is utterly overpriced. An adult ticket price is 12.

It’s a small showcase of the geography on how volcanoes erupt and happens. Kiddo loves the interActions items provided to explain the science behind the eruption. It’s help us to explain the scenery we saw so far in Roturoa and Taupo. There is also a earthquake simulator of magnitude 6.3 for experience too. Which we let our kiddo to experience it and learn why we need to do drop, cover and hold during earthquake. It’s bad that the Geyser showcase is out of order on the day we visited it. Hopefully it can get back to work soon. The kids will love to see how its being build up.

A nice place, but needs q bit of an update. Great to learn about the Volcanoes of NZ and about Earthquakes. I enjoyed going into the Earthquake Simulator, though I wish there were more bits like that or even a way to adjust the magnitude of the machine.

Good information being displayed. Lots of hands on stuff for the kids to play with. Feel it was a bit over priced, maybe if our kids where older would have stayed longer.

We are new to NZ and this place helped us to understand a lot of things in regards to NZ's land nature and historic disasters connected to earthquakes. Staff are super friendly and we enjoyed a lot.

Quite informative ,but more elaborate working models can make it more interesting.
