Awesome decorations inside! Food is excellent and the portions are well worth the price. Highly recommend if your planning on stuffing your face with japanese food. Also the staff were very nice and professional.

Best Japanese I've had not only in Auckland but I can't remember when. The service is highly attentive, the atmosphere is authentic with personality. Most importantly the food is amazing. I've been back & my greatest problem.now is deciding what to order because I want it all! Highly recommended.

Very good. Overly generous portions. Feels like a genuine Japanese Izakaya. Suprised on settling to see its part of the Daikoku group better known for it's teppanyaki resturants and an Auckland institution since way back.

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars then I would. Exceptional service. Great sake and beer selection including my personal favourite Asahi black. Food was out of this world. Presentation was like art, especially the shashimi selection. Got very busy as the evening went on. Impressive value for money given food we had. Highly recommended
