Poor service and inconsistent timetable. Complainers on social media. Mid December I reached out on their Facebook page to see when they were gonna be serving the area again and they hadn’t been there for weeks and they said they would be back a few weeks later. I needed a ride right then! Instead you should do what my family did and call the local water taxi that is on demand and very reasonable. There’s a reason why the Pauanui Ferry is upset that the Tairua Water Taxi (TWT) now serves the same area and does a much better job by actually being there. Do a search for them on FB if you wanna learn more about TWT. Call and they’ll be there in 10 minutes to pick you up! They’ll also drop you off anywhere you want to go. 027 THE TAXI

Good ferry, but the old fella running the boat must get the award for the person who hates their job the most, what a miserable person he was and so rude to my daughter, but I guess when you have a monopoly business you don’t have to be nice to everyone
