Warm for river water. Bit busy as it was a long weekend, but close to the road and a refreshing swim. Close to the Retreat Cafe which does amazing wood fired pizzas too.

Beautiful waterfall! Would be lovely for a swim but we went a bit late, will be going again in the sunshine for a swim!
An excellent place to relax and unwind. Can be reached by a longer walk (about 90 minutes) from Karangahake Gorge car park or by a short 1-minute walk from Waitawheta Road, where it meets SH2. There are no benches, toilets or water taps - so please be prepared accordingly.
Very nice side trip after an hour hike from the tunnel. Good for a swim and a picnic.
Really nice spot to come a relax after the walks in the karangahake gorge. Quiet peaceful and easy parking.
Has a very small car park unless you park 50m or so down the road Can see top of waterfall from roadside car park (signed area) is a very easy 30 second walk from car park to waterfall base were you can swim
