Stopped to check it out,was awesome, didn't go inside though as I had long drive to do,but according to locals it's surely stunning to see inside,booked tours are recommended

It's a lovely place to take the kids for a stroll through the gardens. The play area is great fun for all ages. The castle was not accessible on the day we went, but it's great to take photos with a castle as your back drop. The cafe was very busy as tables were all booked out. It needs a dedicated area for people who just wants to grab a coffee to go and walk. Love it.

Interesting stop on the drive north from Oamaru. Can walk around the gardens and market and see views across to the exterior of the castle across the water.

Great place to visit. Looking forward to booking a visit to the castle. Had a lovely mosey around the gift shops there, need some time to look as there is a lot of merchandise
