Operating in New Zealand and the Southern Alps from September - April/May and during June/July and August the team has been based in Switzerland for summer mountaineering in the Swiss, French and Italian Alps. This was during the last 18 years, before the global corona virus crisis. 2020 we are staying put for a fabulous Downunder ski season - let's stay positive! Sept./Oct. are the best months in NZ for ski touring and winter mountaineering, sometimes into November depending on snow conditions followed by summer mountaineering adventures from Nov-April. Alpinism & Ski also offer a charming independent 'eco'​ holiday studio-cottage, the Alpinism studio, available either all winter (long term) or short term from October -May. Obviously closed by the virus season, we'll see how the world will go on, just inquire if we are open for business.
