It's a nice walk to this little beach along the lakeside, but also a great spot to take kids and or the family for bit of sun and a swim. You can swim out to the rock that's just under the water by the bouy.

I came here for sunset in September on a sunny day and it was a nice setting that's easily accessible from Wanaka; with plenty of parking space.

Nice little public beach. short drive from Wanaka around righthand side of lake. Running track /bike swimming .
Very quiet, lots of ducks, saw a few rabbits too. Parking right next to the lake shore.
