Experienced and friendly pilots are there to guide you and give you a great sense of security and give you a guide of the aerial beauty of Wanaka. The little Piper aircraft is very susceptible to winds and air pressure but it is a very fulfilling experience and you really do get to takeoff, fly and steer the craft! Plus you get a certificate for completing it as a nice token.

What a way to spend a day off! Private flight over the Southern Alps to the West Coast and back again. With conditions next to perfect i don't think i could of spent a better way to see the South Island in all of its Glory and extremities. One word can only describe this experience... AWESOME, with an O!

Pre book well in advance if you are planning learn to fly activity. It's superb experience that one should must have. Try to get Ben as your Pilot. He is super instructor and he will make you feel comfortable.

Thoroughly enjoyed my flight with Wanaka Learn to Fly today. I'm a private pilot and my instructor Stu couldn't have been more accommodating - I did almost all of the flying from start to finish, and the scenery was just incredible. Highly recommended.
Great experience for a fist time flier. Clive was an excellent instructor with a calm and reassuring manner. Spectacular views over Wanaka and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend the longer 1 hour flight time for the best experience. If you have the chance take a passenger as well to take some photographs of the views - you won't get a better angle! Would highly recommend for those seeking something new and exciting to do, or for anyone interested in learning to fly!
