The bar meal was excellent and a great price of 15 for steak and chips. The bar staff were very friendly and did an excellent job of looking after us.

We tried to arrange our wedding alcohol through this branch but they were slack in providing details discussed over the phone. Apparently martin is "to busy" to respond to quotes for 2500 worth of alcohol within 4 working days. When approached in store he was unhelpful, rude and couldn't recommend anything except for what ever was already on special. We assumed this was because he couldn't be bothered working out a special price for us on items only listed at full retail. Martin was very surprised to learn that we went with a competitor, mainly because he didn't listen to us when we said we wanted recommendations on central otago wines and he quoted us for a different brands of spirits than we chose. I get particularly annoyed when I have to repeat myself three times. To top things off we still wanted to hire his chiller trailer at the going rate which Martin confirmed was available at 35 more than the normal rate (you must think I'm an idiot Martin). Just as I was getting in the car to go and pay for said trailer he called back with some BS that someone had just made a wedding order (within 10 mins...really?) and the trailer was no longer available. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face, this type of behaviour is just childish and doesn't do your business any good. Grow up!
