Escape the hustle and bustle of Courtenay Place... head on up stairs to a magical wee spot. Great food, delicious drinks. The selection of sake and other Japanese drinks was top. Staff were super friendly and the vibe was great

Good food but very unfriendly staff. They don't smile or greet. The whole atmosphere at the restaurant is very tense. The waitress was running around the restaurant. Not a very relaxed experience it was more like eat quickly n leave. Couldn't enjoy my meal. Will not recommend this restaurant

I give 3 stars because we did go in quite late and I feel this probably effected the quality but it was our first time so I have nothing to compare it to. When we first arrived it was about 9:10pm and I asked if they were still open and serving. The lady said yes and seated us. We ordered some sake and asked for a moment to check over the menu. The server did seem to be irritated and came back shortly to say they close at 10pm which at that point I felt whoops! I thought they closed at 11pm and so we quickly just ordered a few skewers. There seemed to only be the one staff member and she was making the food behind the bar... I heard a microwave beep a couple of times and I'm not sure if this was for the food or the sake but it definitely made me wonder. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either... and the service definitely made me feel uncomfortable. Overall a very average experience for a good amount of money. I might go back at a normal dinner time to check it out.

If you are going to have sushi here, you are better to go to sushi take-away. No flaver of sea weed, soy sause and wasabi but more expensive than take away.

The service was fantastic! Food tasted fresh and a big portion size. A great place for lunch or dinner with friends or workmates. They have BYO which is very convenient and very friendly staff. Have been going to this place for years, it's good for either a reasonably priced, relatively healthy, and most importantly, tasty lunch, or for a nice dinner. Service is quick and food is of a high standard, particularly relative to other similar places in the area. They are licensed if you are so inclined with a fair selection of sake. Always a winner! Will be back for sure.

Food was tasty and delicious, but it was loud and we had to flag down a waitress to order food. Ordered an appetizer for the child with us, and it was among the last food items to arrive (certainly came after everyone else down our end of the table). From arrival to food being served was about an hour, as it was half an hour of waiting before we flagged down a waitress.
