Was eager to try this place because we love Ethiopian and Eritrean food at home and were missing it. Service was very sweet but slow. Not sure if that's common, but there seemed to only be one person in the front of the house. Food presentation was nice, but the taste was only ok. All of the veggie combo plate dishes were slightly bland and lukewarm to cool. We were pleased to see Shiro on the menu because it's not always offered at restaurants, but it was almost a tiny bit too salty, though we thought it had good spicy flavor and we liked that it was piping hot. The most disappointing is that all Ethiopian restaurants we've been to before this put the food on one injera and give you another injera for free since it acts as your eating utensils, but here, you only got the one underneath the food and charge for each additional which was disappointing. It's like being charged to get a spoon to eat soup. So all in all, it was ok and I wouldn't actively shun the place but would try out the other Ethiopian restaurants first before coming back.

Consistently bad service for over a year now. Staff take forever to notice you and blatantly ignore your presence for over 10 minutes. Some options are mysteriously never available or always "running out" despite being on the menu. The food takes another 30-40 mins to arrive. The portions are tiny for the price. Surprised they are still in business.. I'll only be going to Mother of Coffee Ethiopian food in Cuba st Left Bank from now on because the service is excellent and fast, the food is delicious and more fresh, the portions are at least double the size, the people are wonderful and friendly. All round a better experience. Don't waste your time or money on Blue Nile anymore...

Come here all the time, such a great place! Delicious and authentic would highly recommend. Staff are lovely, occasionally service takes a while but understandable given everything is freshly made. If you're looking for a chill atmosphere that's reasonably priced, but not in a rush do go!

I'm completely convinced this business is a front for some flavor of criminal activity. I have only managed to eat here once and it was a bad experience; cold food and poor service. Since then is tried to give them a second chance multiple times but they're not interested in my business. I've tried going only to find them closed during opening hours. I've tried ordering through uber only to have them immediately cancel the order. I've tried ordering takeaway only to have them inform me they're all out of food? I give up! It's like they don't want customers... which is suspicious.

What a joke. Waited well over 40 minutes on a Tuesday evening for food with only 1 other table in the restaurant. Music cut out half way through dinner and never came back on. The service was terrible. The food was terrible. Over all, absolutely terrible. Won’t be back.

Authentic Ethiopian food made in purely Ethiopian style. Had chicken Doro Wat. The sauce is delicious and the Injera bread is super soft. If you love to explore different tastes, Ethiopian food is a must try.
