A very nice secluded spot in the East cost bays in Wellington. Easily approachable via public transport and road too. The views from the point are awesome and exceptional on a clear sunny day. The war time buildings and underground bunker kind of structure are a good place to visit here. The walks to the point and down to Breakers Bay are enjoyable and require a normal fitness level. The large ships sailing through the Wellington harbour can be seen from here and present a great sight. Well recommended for half a day trip and picnic.

Good walking track around the point with some interesting bunkers along the way. The track is well maintained and makes climbing the hill not too difficult. There's signposts with directions telling you where each track goes, as well as a couple of signs with a bit of info on the history of the bunkers and area. Great views of the harbor entrance and sea, as well as the Breaker Bay beach and Pencarrow lighthouses. Be aware that it could get pretty windy up there, especially in a southerly. It's a bit of a walk from the car park, you can either walk across the beach and through a cool rock arch, or up the hill along the road.

Great place, careful when it's windy though! A few different walking trails, nice beach but great views from the top.

Very picturesque walk, from Seatoun tunnel take first right & drive to the end (past football ground). Parking area there and walk through to the beach then head right. As you get to the cliffs a set of steps take you up to the walkway - further steps in the steep parts : well worth the wander.

Pretty cool place and quite a nice walk. Good way to see some of NZ's history. Best to go on a still day, it gets quite windy up there
