First time in my 60 plus years on the interislander. I found that everything worked like clock work. A great team of people managing that number of cars trucks and people of all ages, seamed to go without a hitch. Nice and relaxing journey ( no big swells ) Good food and refreshments and nice clean amenities.

Glad that we have the opportuniry to experience the ship. The service is wonderful, staffs are so friendly and helpful. The ship is so big that it can have over 100 vehicles. The fooD and even coffee are excellent.
This was our first time and the trip exceeded our expectations. Plenty of staff, smooth vehicle check in, parking and unloading. Food is basic but plenty of choices and very reasonably priced, which is very much appreciated. Also my partner was bothered by an intoxicated passenger, but the security responded very quickly and very well and they even checked up on us later. The only suggestion would be to have more lying down / reclining areas as on the late ferry many people ended up falling asleep on the floor with legs under the tables and chairs etc .
The ferry is nice, the food was very good. We were here on Christmas day, the staff was walking around, giving delicious Christmas cookies :D We also enjoyed a very funny magic show :)
Highly recommend. Easy to book, easy to drive in and the staff on board are super friendly. Lots to do onboard, the food is good as is the wifi and there are plenty of barf bags if the swells get messy.
Great Ferry trip, very helpful Staff. Fantastic views outside of Wellington Harbour and the majestic Marlborough Sounds. Thanks to all the InterIslanderFerry staff for a beautiful crossing!
We went to North Island and back.Trip was great . Well organized. Very clean. There is a cinema to kill the time or you can grab something from the Cafferty. Only problem is that you have to hurry to get good seats.
Kaitaki is large, though looking a bit dated. Kids play area is good, could be larger/more challenging. In case anyone is reading this for parking info, you can park at the Wilson car park next to the station and use the ParkMate app to stay for longer than 12 hours (if going for the weekend without the car) Then there's a shuttle to the ferry. The ferry carpark fills up fast and where you actually can park isn't really clear on the website. Lovely views. Bring food as it's expensive on board.
