Great spot for a quick, cheap and tasty meal. Service is no frills but is quick and efficient. Always consistently good and satisfying food with generous portions. Highly recommended!

Wellington is spoilt for good Malaysian restaurants and KK is one of the best. Was busy with customers when we visited. A little bit nicer than cheap and cheerful, but only just. Can't fault the quality of food and speed of service. Menu doesn't quite have the range I would have liked and unfortunately my favourite Murtabak was absent. Great little Malaysian restaurant just off Cuba street. It's very reasonable priced. You can get a great Roti Chennai with lots of Roti for 9!!! Chicken Nasi Lemak or steamed chicken rice are also fantastic. I eat here once a week at least. Service is always super fast and friendly. The place is just one cool painted room, nothing fancy. They do takeaway too.

A cheerful classic of wellington. Essentially unchanged since the dawn of time. Seafood Laksa is comfort food I’ll come back to again and again.

Cheap, big portion and tasted good. Not the best laksa I have had (probably because I cannot forget the truly authentic Laksa when I was in Malaysia) and not the best atmosphere restaurant but good price decent foods.

Food here was amazing. Ordered Curry Laksa noodles. There was no laksa taste. The soup was more curry but still, the taste of the curry was really great. Would definitely come back and try the other food here if I'm back in Wellington.

From the moment you enter the doors you are greeted with brisk Kiwi-Malay hospitality. The no-frills/no-alcohol/cheap-table-and-chairs rusticity of the place only enhances the charm of the hot, classically flavoured meals they efficiently serve. If you're not a vegetarian or religiously barred from doing so, you simply must try the beef rendang. Ten thumbs up.

I have not been to KK for years but decided to go there as we are craving for curry laksa and heard that they serve best curry laksa in town. When we arrived, they were pretty busy with takeaway and we decided to wait until the counter was cleared and approached the lady to ask for table of 2. Then, she pointed us to sit in a table that has not been cleaned and we just waited near the table firs hoping that it will be cleaned straight away. However, she said that we can sit down first then she would clean the table when she “had the time”. We followed her instructions and took a look on the menu that she gave us. While I was reading the menu, she stood beside me and she said excuse me while pointing at the dirty glasses on the table. I have not been asked like that when I dined in restaurants so I was pretty confused at that time. Then, the guy wiped the table for us (the lady also wiped our table after that and we told her nicely that the guy has wiped the table), gave us water and took our order. We ordered 2 curry laksa ( roti) and specifically ordered one with less noodle. Then, the lady served the first laksa and we asked whether the laksa that she served was the one with less noodle or the regular one. However, we did not hear her response as she either mumbled or spoke in a very low volume and she just walked away. Few second later, the guys served us another laksa then we asked him that which he had to confirm with the lady. Then, the lady replied that she already told us that the laksa that she served was the one with less noodle. The food were decent and the guy was quite pleasant but after the service that we got from the lady, we will never come back to KK anymore.
