Andrew and I have been working/collaborating with Mark Newdick and various teams over the past seven years. He has worked with us to help visualise and create our wonderful landscaping. Which we are constantly getting positive comments on. Mark has a real gift when it comes to selecting plants and creating interesting, modern planted living spaces, which work in the environment we live. In our case Coastal Eastbourne. We started the masterplan for our home seven years ago, and completed three quarters of the work then, and have finally finished the remaining landscaping. Mark remained patient and committed to seeing the project through, while allowing us to be involved in the design process. We wanted to take a more active role in the final part, Mark was great, steering us in the right directions of various suppliers, from, recycled timber suppliers, to sourcing rocks and plants. We have finally finished the renovation of the house. We are so pleased that we started the process so long ago, as it has allowed the garden/home to have an established feel. Mark is very talented at visualising what a garden can look like in the future, and we have really valued his input.

Regretfully I must recommend that people avoid using the services of this firm and especially its principal Mr Mark Newdick. Ultimately we were forced to sack Mark because of his very poor service and lack of professionalism with our project. He initially estimated a cost around 60,000 however it ultimately ended up costing almost 3 times this amount. His timeliness was atrocious and he was completely unwilling to listen to what we required. His overview and supervision of the contractor was virtually non-existent with the result that very serious errors occurred for matters which we considered he was ultimately responsible. Getting finalised plans settled with the engineers took more than a year and for no fault on our part with respect to any material changes to the original concept plans. I consider our project was beyond his professional ability.

We’re in the process of getting a residential landscaping project designed and developed with the assistance of local. It’s been a long journey this far - over a year, but we are hopeful that they will be able to come through with a builder who can do the job in the next few months. I think the design they’ve come up with has been well thought out and fits with the style and age of the house.
