After a lifetime of sore feet my Mum always said "you need to see Jimmy in Newtown". If you want to spend hours trying on shoes with a fake friendly shop keeper and leave with sore feet, go elsewhere. If you want to walk in, exchange banter with a guy, and leave in five minutes with a pair of shoes that fit perfectly first time, go here. (Mrs Mike)

I went to the shoe store with my friend to buy orthopedic shoes. After we had been in the shop for over 5 minutes, the owner finally came out of his back room and you could tell that he was in a bad mood, probably we had bothered him and he was visibly annoyed and let us feel that too. I asked about flat shoes and he replied very arrogantly that flat shoes weren't good for the feet. He then showed me another pair of shoes with a heel. I told him that I can't walk on that shoe. He was very offended and said things like: "He would be the best shoe store in Wellington and blah blah blah" and went back into his back room and left me and my friend standing alone in the shop. Outrageous, unfriendly, never again!

my partner bought shoes from here and they literally fell apart within a week. i never even bothered to try talking to them after seeing their terrible attitude to negative reviews here. looks like they cant take criticism- will certainly never go back. i will say the older man that served her was lovely.
