This is a high quality locally run store. If you want cheap cards then yes The Warehouse or the 2 shop are cheaper but if you want something special or that looks like you have put in that extra bit of thought then this is the place. Also acts as a post shop. Cute kids stuff, books, gifts and calendars as well.

They have lots of extra things you won't find at a normal post shop, but they are so crowded it's hard to move around without feeling like you're going to knock things over or knock someone down! That said, the wide variety of books, cards, and gift wrap made it easy to get everything we were looking for in one place

1 star as I couldn't get inside. If you have a wheelchair or a pram don't bother going in. You won't fit, there's literally no room. I went to Whitcoulls Lambton Quay instead, they have way more room in their big shop, and they stock way more products.

Very handy bookshop in a spot in Kilbirnie shops that always has had a free parking spot nearby whenever I have dashed in to get either a card or a lotto ticket. In my opinion has the next best range of greeting cards outside of the downtown usuals such as Whitcoulls and Unity Books which are a nightmare to get parking near to if in a hurry and not travelling by foot. The Paper Plus brand is an iconic retail brand within the NZ books and stationery industry and competes with Whitcoulls. The Kilbirnie shop is locally owned and operated and normally the main reason I stop in Kilbirnie either enroute to or coming back from the airport and don't want to waste time driving around in circles looking for parking. Staff are always friendly each time I call in and as part of the Paper Plus brand family the store is always very well stocked with books for all ages and has a great range of stationery. This store also handles NZ Post mail postage as well.
