I've tried many eateries in Wellington over the years but I have to say I found Rasa the very best in town. As I'm a clean freak, I'm always looking out on the cleanliness of a place and how the food is stored in the kitchen. (if there's loads of big plastic containers in a restaurants kitchen then I'm immediately upset as this is not fresh cooking). Rasa is generally very clean and the food is always cooked fresh on the stove tops from fresh produce. On top of this the whole team are very friendly, professional and accommodating

We would definitely recommend this place. We had been carving dosa for a long time and not very common to find in regular Indian places, luckily we found Rasa. The food didn't take long to be served and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We would visit again in our next trip to Wellington.
Can be missed on the main Cuba St drag, but like all good things in Wellington they tend to be hidden away. Basic inside, but a great vibe with busy, fast Asian food that is great value and high on taste. Fresh n hot too as you get it as it comes straight from the hob, which you can see and smell! Highly recommended.
It has been a while since i had such tasty food. Everything that I ordered was amazing. I went back again the next day to try other dishes. I was not disappointed.
Absolutely heaving, noisy madness. Food was good and staff super friendly. I embraced the chaos and enjoyed the Saturday night vibe. I believe it is more civilised during the week

Your biggest problem might be getting in the door. It’s popular. Once you’re inside the atmosphere has a buzz, the food is tasty, the service is friendly and the price good value. It’s BYO too. A concept we’ve forgotten having lived overseas for several years. Just do it. Go in. Order the goat curry, a dosa and whatever takes your fancy. Really good place. Food is really excellent. Especially lamb with lemongrass n ginger yummy
